We build Robots and Robot Subassemblies.

Mission Statement - Knowledge Transfer

Share Knowledge And Provide Technical Suggestions And Advice To Each Other:

Robotics is far from simple. As you know, robotics is a combination of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer science; all of which are complex fields, and have so many subspecialties. There is no way to master all three by any one person. Hence, if you are a roboticist you are a generalist. All of us have our specialties and experience, and I am sure it is in different realms of robotics. Let's help each other out where we can to help save each other time. If a fellow member can save another member time, then this club is doing it's job. Kindly have a look below to clarify areas where knowledge transfer is desired between members:

  • Mechanical design ideas, brainstorming and parts selection.
  • Mechanical construction of robotic subassemblies.
  • Electrical design, brainstorming and parts selection.
  • Electrical construction and wiring.
  • Design and construction of printed circuit boards.
  • Computer networking (as it relates to robotics)
  • Robotic Operating System (ROS) project planning and implementation. Especially with core packages like ros_control, MoveIt!, and the Navigation stack.
  • Any other item we may have missed that relates to building robots.
